At precisely 42 ยฐC โ warm enough to be therapeutic, but below the threshold that triggers heat stress โ the device stimulates vasodilation: the widening of blood vessels beneath the skin. This increases oxygen and nutrient delivery to skin cells while simultaneously relaxing facial muscles, which improves the contact quality of the EMS electrodes.
Critically, mild thermal stimulation dramatically increases skin permeability.
